Producer Information: Our family run winery in Gambellara (half way between Verona and Venice) was founded at the end of XIX century, by our great-great-grandfather, Menti Giovanni, who started making wine initially only for his own consumption. Today our estate cultivates 7,5 ha of garganega and durella vines in and around the hills of Gambellara and Lessini. We work organically using biodynamic methods and produce all sorts of styles of wines from still whites to fizzy whites and sparkling wines, as well as balsamic-sweet wines from dried, raisin-like grapes. All works are managed directly by Stefano and his father Giovanni, from taking care of the vines to the bottling process. Meet Stefano Menti who, together with his dad Giovanni, manages the estate today, and find out how they use a pied de cuve to help their wines complete their fermentation.
