2015 Snowden Vineyards Napa Valley Rose Of Malbec Ward Eisan Vineyard
We love rose, so we repurposed our small Malbec block for the 2015 growing season to produce 199 cases of “Rosé of Malbec.” Hand picked on August 24, 2015, the wine is a true Rose, with unforced color and extraction, crisp, dry and fresh, but also present and nuanced -- ready for the warm, deep evenings just ahead. The grapes were grown at 800 feet of elevation in the block we call our “Ward Eisan Vineyard”
The wine has an exuberant nose of strawberry, blood orange and hints of watermelon and grape blossom. There is a touch of cream in the lovely texture, with crisp acidity and a dry finish.
This salmon-hued, fresh wine is a natural match for grilled fish, goat cheese, or simply paired with a sunny afternoon or warm evening.
