I recently had to find a rare 18-year single-malt scotch for a friend of mine. All of the usual suspects in California were out of this highly-rated scotch. An online search led me to De Wine Spot in Brooklyn, NY. My inquiry was answered quickly and when I encountered difficulties on online ordering (due to my own ineptitude), I was able to complete the order quickly over the phone with Mischa, who couldn’t have been nicer. He found the bottle I needed (the last one I might add) hiding at the back of one of his shelves. I paid a very reasonable price considering the rarity of the scotch and within a week the carefully packaged bottle of scotch was on my doorstep, ready for my friend’s birthday.
