Glenmorangie Highland Single Malt Grand Vintage Malt 1997

Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997 is the seventh release in the limited edition The Bond House No. 1 Collection named for the brand's largest 19th century bonded warehouses. It spent about 10 years in ex-bourbon casks before a portion was transferred to Chateau Montrose red wine casks, from the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux. Then it spent an additional period of maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks for a total of 23 years of maturation in the distillery's Bond House No. 1. It is bottled at 43% ABV and is available as of June, 2021.

Nose: Experience an astonishing tapestry of floral and fruity complexity. The aroma blooms with floral notes of rose, jasmine, and carnation, interlaced with soft red fruits, mint toffee, and hints of pastry. A sweet confectionery top note completes the olfactory journey.

Taste: A symphony of sweet candy flavors dances on the palate, harmonizing with soft red fruits, pineapple chunks, and a reminiscence of pears and mandarin segments in fruit jelly. Gentle almond marzipan, vanilla toffee apple, and a subtle blend of sweet ginger, chilli, and clove enrich the taste.
