NV Edmunds St. John Bone Jolly Rose

VARIETAL: Gamay

VINEYARD: Sourced from Witters Vineyard at 3400ft elevation, above Camino is the eastern reaches of the Apple Hill region.

SOIL: Volcanic clay-loam

VINIFICATION: Grapes are destemmed and pressed immediately. Juice is fermented very cool until dryness, and malo was blocked. The wine is racked three months later, and bottled two months after racking.

Pretty pale-pink color with a little blue around the rim. Very fresh, penetrating nose . Juicy and precise on the palate, mouth-watering, showing lot of depth. The finish is long, and clean. This is already really versatile at the table, as always.
