Chateau Pigoudet Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence Premiere Rose

Chateau Pigoudet is located in the mountains of Provence, in the extreme NE quadrant of the AOC Coteaux d'Aix en Provence. Here, Pigoudet's 100 acres of vineyards sit at 400 meters, with full southern exposure, protected by the strong Mistral winds that blow from the north by Mont Vautubiere.

Although immensely seductive, this is not a wine that hits you over the head with masses of obvious fruit. Rather, it is a gently caressing wine, with light-as-a cloud intonations of plum, strawberries, cling peach, citrus, and melon, with hints of pink flowers and Provençal herbs rising on the long, airy finish.

It goes great with just about every summer dish, from steamed lobster to BBQ ribs.
