Chateau Miraval A.O.C Cotes de Provence Rose

Miraval rosé is a wonderful blend of fruits aromas and freshness, made on an exceptional terroirs in Provence. The 2014 vintage in Provence looks very promising. The mild and humid climate allowed the wines to express their character, and gave them a wide range of aromas and a very rich complexity. Yet the climate was without respite, characterised by variable weather. A mild and wet winter followed by a hot, dry spring and a cooler summer without excessive heat, allowed the vine to develop efficiently and to finish maturing with a beautiful Indian summer in September. Thorough and precise work in the vineyard and in the cellar was more important than ever this year, and was rewarded with wines that look very auspicious.

Beautiful pale pink color. An intense nose lead by white flowers, little red berries, freshly crushed strawberries and notes of ripe Morello cherries. The mouth has a beautiful bouquet; round and soft with aromas of cherries, wild strawberries and a mineralilty representative of the Terroir giving the wine great freshness and a slight saltiness. The wine has length and great balance between the fruit and the minerality with complex aromas of wild herbs, limestone and rich citrus fruit.
