Suntory Yamazaki Limited Edition Single Malt Whisky

Similar to previous editions, the Yamazaki Limited Edition 2017 is composed of three single malts - a single malt aged 20 years in sherry casks used for maturing red wines, another single malt aged 20 years in port wine casks made out of European oak previously used for maturing port wines, and a young single malt aged in bourbon barrels made out of American white oak.

Nose: Luscious strawberry jam and a sweet tinge of Yubari melon. On its background there is freshly baked pastry with custard cream, reminding you of the greatest Choux Japan has to offer, it's magical.

Palate: Sherry sweetness, dark flower manuka honey, and ripe persimmons

Finish: A long lasting finish from Mandarin, hidden with woodiness and spices. There is a divine cacao lingering on reminding you of what it is.We suspect a higher percentage of sherry and port were used in the blend for the 2017 Limited Edition.
