Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Release Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The first release in the collection of six celebrates The Six Decades of Bond is now available. The collection showcases the most iconic moments from each of the six Bond decades, with individual packaging encapsulating each decade. The packaging has been color washed with a trending color from the specific decade to bring to life the inventions and innovations of James Bond throughout the years.

The first decade of the Bond collection represents the 1960s, a unique era for James Bond. Sean Connery, the suave spy icon, starred in six films during this period, with George Lazenby starring in only one film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969. Sean Connery returned triumphantly to the screen in Diamonds Are Forever in 1971.

The pack design features sketches from three movies: Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), and You Only Live Twice (1967), where Bond uses Little Nellie in a combat sequence and a dummy jet pack.

Like James Bond, the whiskey in this collection reflects a sense of sophistication and style that has matured over the years. The consistency of the whiskey is maintained across all six bottles.

Nose: Fresh and vibrant notes of lemon and lime, a sprinkle of sherbet, leading into sweet vanilla and coconut, with a hint of dried fig and raisin.
Palate: Orange zest and fizzy sherbet with a lemon freshness, gentle oak, and subtle ginger spice, leading into deep dark chocolate, figs, and baked apple tart with a honey drizzle.
Finish: Sweet and long with complex layers.
