The Lakes Distillery WhiskyMaker's Reserve No.5 Single Malt Whisky

The Lakes is a fantastic new distillery built in England’s Lake District National Park. Set in the stunning surroundings of the Lakes District, the view is just as beautiful as the whisky! It was founded in 2011 by a consortium led by Paul Currie, co-founder of the Isle of Arran distillery, and the distillery released its first bottling in 2018. The Whiskymaker’s Reserve was launched in September 2019, and this is the fifth release in the series, matured in Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Red Wine casks. It has a rich nose of dark chocolate, walnuts, apples, and buttery pastries. The palate is creamy with flavors of coffee, brown sugar, honey, and berries with a long finish of oak, dark chocolate, and toffee.
