Tequila Ocho 'Ferrand Cognac Barrel Select' Añejo

Tequila Ocho partnered with Maison Ferrand. Master tequilero Carlos Camarena and blender Alexandre Gabriel orchestrated an absolutely brilliant collaboration. They harvested overripe blue agave exclusively from the iron-rich soils of Rancho Las Raices. Following traditional distillation, this spirit rests twelve months inside seasoned French oak Cognac casks that traversed five thousand miles across the ocean!

The maturation process transforms this single-estate distillate into a masterclass of complexity. Those seasoned French oak staves impart an astonishing depth. The resulting liquid retains its crucial, earthy agave foundation while absorbing nuanced layers of orchard fruit and delicate, honeyed floral characteristics. The final spirit feels exceptionally polished. Bottled at a robust 88.8 proof, this limited release avoids the cloying sweetness that ruins many modern aged tequilas.
