Arberesko is the big brother to Siir. It refers to the name of the ancient Greek-Albanian population of the region who cultivated vines there in the 1400’s. 100% Aglianico from older vines, this is the perfect example of why Aglianico is often referred to as the Barolo of the South.
TASTING NOTES
Generous in aromas of red berry fruit and stylish floral hints. Elegant but also gutsy and determined on the palate supported by sweet tannins and minerality deriving from the volcanic soils.
FOOD PAIRING
Enjoy with hearty meat dishes, roasts, bbq and braised meat.
