Redemption Rye 8 year old Barrel Proof Whiskey

Redemption Rye Whiskies are very sought after, and this is especially the case when it comes to their Barrel Proof 8-year Rye. It was numbers 3 on Whiskey Advocate's 2015 Top 10 Whiskies of the year. This is a 122.5 proof release.

Savory nose of fennel, light dill, eucalyptus, cedar, maybe a touch more subdued than the 50. Classic rye, dill, pepper, anise, menthol on the palate, with this one a bit more lively. Water adds the expected mouthfeel and weight to both. Finishes lengthy, nicely dry with a minty character that carries from the more sharp menthol notes of the palate
