2016 Raventos i Blanc Conca del Riu Anoia Blanc de Blancs
From the plots La Barbera, La Plana and El Viader which have deep calcareous soils with a sand-rich loamy texture giving freshness and elegance and El Llac, a 40 year old plot with marine fossils providing structure and complexity. Vines are handpicked and farmed biodynamically with vinification in stainless steel tanks followed by blending and secondary fermentation in bottle, aged for a minimum of 18 months. Extra Brut.
Very fruity nose, white stone fruit, citrus fruit and some tropical notes, combined with slightly toasted touches on a background of fresh herbs. Good palate. Good acidity and well-integrated fizziness. Fresh and fruity, with a slightly bitter finish adding a serious flair.
