Dino’s son Frederico inherited the winery in 1982 and subsequently expanded the estate while improving overall quality. (80% Prugnolo Gentile/20% Merlot) The hand-picked fruit was harvested from a southwest facing vineyard that was planted to rich, clay soils from the Pliocene era. The grapes were fermented and macerated for 10-12 days in steel vats. 20-40% of the wine aged for eight months in neutral American oak barriques and the remainder aged in vats.
