Crafted on the 2nd floor of Warehouse J, our Old Forester Single Barrel 100 Proof is more than a whiskey; it's a shared passion realized. This exceptional batch was selected in collaboration with six other Prime Barrel members, marking a rare communal journey into the art of bourbon perfection.

The Selection Process: Selecting an Old Forester barrel is a rare opportunity, and choosing a 100-proofer is even rarer. This selection was made even more unique by being conducted in person, an experience few can claim. After experimenting with several barrel-strength batches last year, our group decided to explore the subtleties of a 100-proof this time around. This decision was driven by the rarity of 100 Proof expressions, often overshadowed by the allure of barrel-proof selections.

At the distillery, we were presented with both 100-proof and cask-strength samples—the latter set aside secretly. After making our choice among the 100-proof options, we were then invited to blind taste the original cask-strength samples. Remarkably, the barrel we unanimously cherished at 100 proof was the same one we admired in its undiluted form.

A VIP Experience: Adding to the excitement of our barrel pick, we were granted a rare VIP tour of the Brown-Forman cooperage. Few enthusiasts have the privilege to witness the intricate processes of barrel raising and charring up close. This experience not only deepened our appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each bottle but also enriched our connection to the Old Forester legacy.
