Sourced from two vineyards: one in Castiglione Falletto -south-facing at 250 m in elevation and one in La Morra -southwest-facing at 280m. Hand-harvested towards the end of September from 50 year old vines in Castiglione Falletto and from 40 year old vines in La Morra. Fermentation and maceration lasting 15 days in stainless steel. 40% of the wine is aged in 50HL oak casks and 60% of the wine is aged in neutral 225L barrels. The wine is assembled in spring and then bottled in the summer. Approximately 10,000 bottles produced.
Intense ruby-red color with purple tinges, a bouquet of pure cherry, blackberry, black pepper and mineral flavors with an excellent dash of freshness. Elegant but intense, tannins are soft and fresh in the mouth, with a fine lenght.
