At KLWM, this label retains the title of their best value in red. They offer it in the spirit of the great “bistro wines” you would drink by the carafe in Europe with simple yet satisfying food, and be swept away by the joy of it all.
60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 16% Carignan, 3% Mourvèdre, 1% Cinsault (2010 vintage)
TASTING NOTES
Deep ruby. Smoke- and spice-accented aromas and flavors of cherry and blackberry, with a subtle anise quality in the background. Supple and open-knit, displaying good back-end punch and a touch of smoked meat on the clinging finish.
FOOD PAIRING
This old-school Cotes du Rhone will be extremely flexible at the table, pairing well with just about anything.
