Crown Royal XR (Extra Rare) was introduced in 2006 in the US by allocation and the Canadian market (initially, only in Ontario and Alberta). Available in Quebec since January 2008. This limited-release special blend of Crown Royal is from the LaSalle distillery.

Crown Royal XR is creamy, engagingly nutty and offers a long expansive taste of oak. This whiskey has grace, flavor and harmony.
