ABOUT

Mauritson ancestors first planted grapes in Dry Creek Valley in the 1880s, but they shipped what they produced back home to Sweden. Over the years the family became a major grower, with a total of more than four thousand acres of ranchland and vineyards; three-quarters of that land, however, is now under Lake Sonoma. The sixth generation of the Mauritson family is now represented by owner/winemaker Clay Mauritson who made his first vintage in 1998.

TASTING NOTES

The Sauvignon Blanc has lush tropical and citrus fruits with nuances of minerality and fresh pine sap. The entry is bright and focused. On the palate, notes of pink grapefruit mingle with flavors of white nectarine, passion fruit and lime zest. The finish is clean and soft with balanced acidity.

FOOD PAIRING

Enjoy this wine with light appetizers, salads, seafood dishes or on its own on a warm summer evening.
