Sagamore 7 Year Old "Nerds & Turds" Single Barrel Rye Whiskey

The High Rye Fill Date was over 8 years ago, 8/22/14. The Low Rye Fill Date is just a hair under 8 years 12/22/14.

Nose:  A fantastic mature Rye spice. This is a bourbon drinker's Rye even on the nose. Notably dark in appearance.

Palate:  Dark Chocolate, Minty (like an Andy's Mint), with Christmas Candy vibes. Ridiculously crushable and Oily. Kira is a connoisseur of fine Ryes, and this one knocked her socks off with its darker flavor profile (chocolate notes throughout) and complexity. David and Trev agreed that you don't have to be a big Rye fan to love this - this is a bourbon drinker's Rye.

Finish: A very long tingly chocolate finish. The impressive finish was a leading factor in why we selected this barrel.
