The story behind this whiskey is as captivating as its flavor profile. Inspired by the historical circumnavigation of Ferdinand Magellan, a single batch of Boss Hog VIII traveled the world, undergoing finishing in four distinct casks across different continents:

• Spanish Oak: Aged in Andalusia, Spain, where a lone ship from Magellan's expedition returned after completing the first global voyage.
• South American Teakwood: Finished in casks crafted from teakwood sourced from South America, adding unique notes of spice and earthiness.
• Single Island Philippine Rum Barrels (Aged 7 & 10 Years): Contributed tropical fruit and caramelized sugar flavors, reflecting the journey through the Philippines.

This meticulous finishing process, combined with the initial 17 years of aging in American Oak, results in a whiskey of unparalleled complexity and depth.
