This Single Malt Whiskey distilled in Texas is quite unique. It exhibits mellow notes of sauteed pears and ripe fruit mixed with a lingering toasty malt character. The aromas provide a bouquet of ripe, buttered stone fruit as well as banana and pears. The fruit scents are complemented well with hints of honey and rose water with delicate citrus accents. On the palate, the whisky is silky and full and reminiscent of lightly toasted bread with fresh butter and marmalade. The finish is long with lingering toast and burnt sugar nites segueing into rich malt and wood flavors which is well balanced by the acidity.
