The vines of Château Castera have been in existence since the 14th century, making them some of the oldest in all of the Médoc region. Located in the town of Saint Germain d’Esteuil, north of Saint Estèphe and in the heart of the Médoc, the property covers 185 hectares (462 acres), of which approximately 63 hectares (148 acres) are under vine.
