ABOUT

This is Gamay-based Bourgogne from 50-year-old vines. Phillip the Bold couldn't possibly have gotten rid of all Burgundy Gamay in the 14th century.

TASTING NOTES

Ruby in the glass with a deep purple rim. Red cherry and strawberry/raspberry preserves dominate the nose. The palate is rich with red cherry and bright strawberry fruit. Moderate minerally tannins, red berry spice and vibrant acidity dominate the elegant finish.

FOOD PAIRING

Works well with grilled beef, veal chops, venison and lamb.
