Crafted initially by National Distillers after the closure of Old Taylor’s Frankfort distillery in 1972, the brand later resurfaced under Jim Beam in the 1980s. Buffalo Trace revived it after Sazerac’s acquisition in 2009. 

Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) and aged a full six years in charred American oak, this bourbon delivers a gentle yet polished drinking experience. Today, it stands as a nostalgic favorite—a distilled connection to the roots of American whiskey craftsmanship.
