Our team and a few members of Prime Barrel had the opportunity to taste samples from four barrels that had been aged for 8 to 9 years. After some discussion, re-tasting, and further discussion, one sample emerged as the unanimous winner. While it's not a barrel-proof selection (which unfortunately can't be found in NY due to strict regulations), it's still an excellent choice at the price point it's being offered. It's a no-brainer for anyone looking for a great-tasting whiskey at an uber-approachable price.
