Mars Shinshu Distillery The Lucky Cat Hana Blended Whisky

A rich and smooth blended Japanese Whisky aged in ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks.

Mars Shinshu The Lucky Cat "Hana" is the 5th release in the "Lucky Cat" series. Each popular release is a limited edition and each has featured a "distillery cat." This year’s cat is named "Hana" and is reported to be the owner’s favorite. The Hana release is limited to just 3000 bottles — not nearly enough! It is a blended Whisky comprised of malt and grain Spirits aged first in ex-Bourbon casks and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. It’s a luxurious Japanese dram with a funny label bottled at 43% ABV.

Appearance: Medium Amber
Nose: The aroma is smooth and alluring with notes of cherries, stewed plums, and fruitcake.
Flavor: The flavors build up on the aromas with notes of ripe plum, cherry cordials, marmalade, vanilla, and Rum-raisins.
Finish: The finish is long with a creamy rancio note.
