2022 Domaine du Pavillon de Cuvee des Ambassades Cote de Brouilly

This is a remarkable red from the lofty slopes of Mont Brouilly, courtesy of Domaine du Pavillon de Chavannes — their flagship cuvée, the Cuvée des Ambassades Côte de Brouilly. Vineyard parcels planted deep into blue-granite soils create a wine with clarity of fruit and finesse of minerality. Hand-harvested old-vines Gamay brings crunchy red fruit and floral lift, while the volcanic hillside lends a subtle stony backbone. With its energy and elegance, this wine delivers old-school Beaujolais charm in modern guise.

Nose: Bright garnet in colour, it opens with vivid aromas of wild cherry, raspberry and fresh pomegranate. Beneath lies delicate hints of peony, crushed granite, and a whisper of wood smoke.

Palate: Light-to-medium bodied but deeply textured. Juicy red fruit — red plum, cranberry — meets savory undertones of thyme and forest floor. Fine-grained tannins and lively acidity carry through with poise.

Finish: The finish is clean and persistent: the cherry and raspberry linger, joined by mineral threads and a subtle herbal twist. Crisp and refined, it invites another sip.
