ABOUT
ABOUT
Crafted by Jacques Marnier-Lapostolle in 1977, this expression honors the Maison's 150th anniversary. It merges incredibly rare Grande Champagne cognacs—some aged up to half a century—with the distinctive essence of wild tropical Citrus Bigaradia. The pedigree speaks volumes.
You won't find a standard bright orange profile here. Instead, decades of careful maturation yield profound rancio characteristics that only truly ancient, deliberately oxidized spirits can provide to a blend. It avoids cloying sweetness entirely. The liquid rests in French oak casks for three additional years after blending.
- Features Grande Champagne cognacs aged up to 50 years
- Macerated with wild tropical Citrus Bigaradia oranges
- Aged an additional three years post-blend in oak
This extended marrying process binds the bitter orange oils completely into the structural framework of the aged cognac. It rests at forty percent. Because the component spirits spent decades breathing through oak before assembly, every drop reflects unparalleled precision and absolute mastery of the blender's craft.
