Pinea named this cuvée after the distinct scent of rain striking parched earth. It’s a tempranillo that demands full attention. At nine hundred meters elevation, massive diurnal temperature shifts force these old vines to produce remarkably concentrated, resilient fruit with astonishing depth. Instead of relying on heavy oak extraction, they’re focusing strictly on revealing a vivid, unmasked expression of the high-altitude limestone terroir.

Nose: Dark fruits leap right out. The initial aroma brings profound black cherry alongside a striking, earthy scent reminiscent of fresh rain on dry soil. Crushed black tea leaves intertwine seamlessly with subtle violet notes, presenting a complex, savory aromatic profile that’s continuously shifting and evolving.

Palate: Bright acidity cuts right through. The texture’s surprisingly lively and nimble, effortlessly carrying intense flavors of ripe plum, wild blackberries, and a touch of dark chocolate. Soft, integrated tannins provide a structured backbone without overpowering the juicy, fruit-forward core. It’s grounded by a subtle mineral undercurrent.
