Meet Pinhook Collaboration Series Edition Nº 3, a bold fusion of whisky and wine crafted with internationally renowned sommelier Jordan Salcito. They’ve taken four styles of Starward Australian single malt—each aged 4–5 years in red wine barrels under Melbourne’s dramatic climate—and blended them into a cask‑strength marvel bottled at 114.8 proof (57.4% ABV) .

Pinhook’s annual Collaboration Series invites sensory innovators beyond whisky. For Edition Nº 3, Salcito’s wine‑trained palate unlocked rich, vibrant fruit layers and sophistication in the malt—“incredibly unique, much brighter fruit notes than I’ve never encountered before,” says blender Sean Josephs.

Every sip reveals poached pear, vanilla curd, cardamom, light cedar… then bursts of raspberries, wild honey, clove, and graham cracker .

The nose is pleasant with sweet aromas, baking spice, vanilla, caramel, and oak. The palate is full-bodied and flavorful with more oak, cinnamon, baking spice, and a touch of tobacco. The finish is unique and long-lasting with vanilla and caramel flavors.
