Wigle Whiskey crafted Wigle's Quaker Strength whiskey from oat malt and dark roast malted barley inspired by an oatmeal stout mash bill. They then aged the whiskey in new 15-gallon charred oak casks for 16 months and bottled it at 46% ABV (92 proof). Specs: Oat Malt Whiskey - approximately 57% of the mash bill is made up of Thomas Fawcett Oat Malt; The balance is made of of various levels of roasted and malted barleys, including a Black Malt, Munich Malt, Pale Malt, Caramel Malts, and Roasted Barley
TASTING NOTES
On the tongue, it has distinctive notes of roasted almonds, biscotti, and chocolate that finishes with butterscotch and smoky coffee on the nose.
