From the hills of Montello and Asolo comes Asolo Prosecco, the finest example of local sparkling wine, which has been awarded “denominazione di origine controllata e garantita” status. It is made from the Glera grape variety, which has rather large, wing-shaped bunches, which are loosely packed with grapes of a golden yellow color.
There’s a lively mineral vein of white talc powder and citrus that gives this wine definition and a crisp, linear feel. Sweet peach and soda flavors fill the mouth and this Prosecco sparkler closes with a clean and tonic finish.
