Golden white in appearance, our extra dry non vintage has consistent beading and an appealing soft mousse crown. Aromatic notes of peach puree, marzipan, and margarita lime entice the olfactory and are followed by frothy mid-palate acidity balanced nicely with a hint of honeysuckle sweetness. The Gruet Extra Dry finishes with a clean, medium finish with an appealing roundness.
FOOD PAIRING
While this wine can be enjoyed by itself as an apéritif, it is also perfect with fresh oysters and other shellfish, crab cakes, ceviche and grilled sea bass. It is also delicious with lemon chicken and Thai curries. Serve with aged Gouda or other hard cheeses and as a counterpoint to soft triple creams.
