Exuberant and irresistible, the 2022 release by master distiller Kevin O’Gorman was deftly stylish; a composition of carefully selected stocks of single pot still and single grain whiskeys aged between 12 and 33 years. Each vintage in the series, which launched in 1984, has its own unique flavor profile and comes from the pick of the American oak bourbon casks in the Midleton warehouses. The sweeter grain components shine beautifully here, with flourishes of floral, honey, and toasted oak aromas against a captivating backdrop of fresh fruit, citrus, and wood spice flavors and an elongated finish of creamy vanilla.
