NV L'Acino Chora Rosso

A blend of Magliocco and Garnacha Nera.

The discovery of a stunning, sandy coteau in 2007 inspired Antonello, Dino and Emilio to plant Magliocco and Mantonico selection massale vines—much of it in franc de pied. These young vines produce the lively, gulpable Chora wines.

Fermented in stainless steel with exclusively native yeast and aged on the lees. Unfiltered and lightly sulfured at bottling, the Chora Rosso is released in Spring following harvest.

Dense roasted black fruits, coffee, dried flower. Chewy, simple but with some depth, juicy, puckery acidity. Deep purple color. Slight hint of sulfur on the nose. Medium/medium-plus body. Medium tannin, medium/medium-plus acidity. Plummy.
