Binders Stash 8 Years Old "Athos" Four Grain Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey The Prime Barrel Pick #169

It’s finally here, the second of three exclusive single barrels from Binder’s Stash.  And this experimental barrel sets the tone with one of the highest scores of the past year during barrel selection.  
   
Binder’s Stash 4-Grain Bourbon was distilled by Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, aged on the 6th floor of Warehouse I and was bottled straight from the barrel at cask strength 124.6 proof.  This rare barrel is one of only 18 barrels of 4-grain bourbon that Willett produced during an experimental run.  

Distilled on January 8, 2018, this barrel was 7 years old when at the time we selected it and when the bottle labels were printed.  However, the barrel was 8 years and 1 month old when it was dumped and bottled on February 9, 2026.    

The 4-grain mashbill of 55% corn, 12% rye, 18% wheat and 15% malted barley creates a flavor profile that hits every corner of the palate.  It shines with a showstopper nose, a sweet and complex palate featuring cornbread, decadent French vanilla buttercream and burnt sugar wrapped in a soft kiss of mature oak with a rich desert like finish.
