Tequila Ocho Extra Anejo La Mula 2021

Regular price $249

ABOUT

Single-estate agave meets patient oak. La Mula 2021 shows Ocho’s terroir-first style, with agaves grown in Arandas, Jalisco, then gently matured in used American whiskey barrels for about 3 years.

The nose opens with ripe agave, vanilla, caramel, and fresh wood accents that feel elegant rather than heavy. It stays bright, not bulky. Texture glides—silky, measured, composed. Layers of toffee, roasted coffee, dried fruit, and black pepper unfurl as oak frames, never smothering the agave core.

Bottled at 40% ABV, it sips luxuriously and finishes long with spice, a hint of anise, and lingering agave sweetness. Collectible? Absolutely. Drinkable? Even more so.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, fresh wood, roasted nuts, and honey; subtle orchard fruit tones.

Palate: Toffee, roasted coffee, nuts, orange peel, dried fruits, and fine black pepper over a supple, oak-cushioned core.

Finish — Long and composed; agave sweetness with peppery snap and a faint anise echo.
