A new distillery in Danville, Kentucky is a David taking on the Goliaths of the industry. With unique mash bills and time on their side, the folks at Wilderness Trail are laying it all on the table. The sweetness of the corn shines in this wheated mash. Matured 5-6 years, you'll find notes of caramel corn, honey-topped wheat bread, a hint of herbal spice and a warming touch of cinnamon. It's medium-bodied with a bit of a punch of alcohol accenting the flavors of brown sugar, toasted oak, and vanilla.
