ABOUT

HIRSCH 10-Year Double Oak Bourbon exemplifies Kentucky craftsmanship, offering a luxurious and complex experience. The Prime Barrel proudly selected one of only 19 available HIRSCH Double Oak single barrels.

HIRSCH double oak bourbon was distilled from a mashbill of 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% malted barley by a famous distillery in Bardstown, KY that starts with W.  This same mashbill is used for many of their acclaimed purple top Family Estate releases.  Initially aged for eight years in a char #3 American oak cask, it was then transferred to a custom barrel with a medium toast and char #1 for an additional two years. This secondary aging imparts delicate toasted notes without overpowering oakiness.

On the nose, sweet and spicy aromas of cherry cola, vanilla, honey, baking spices, and toasted oak entice. The palate reveals layers of cherry, toasted vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, and a hint of barrel-aged honey, complemented by baking spices and toasted oak. The finish continues with sweet notes, baking spices, and beautiful toasted oak.

With proof of 113.6, HIRSCH 10-Year Double Oak Bourbon offers a satisfying flavor profile that will delight bourbon enthusiasts. Add this exceptional bottle to your collection and savor the thoughtfully double-oaked character it brings.
