Our crew and the two Prime Barrel members tasted samples from three barrels aged for 9 yrs (samples #32, 33, 36). After some discussion, retasting of samples, and more discussion, #36 was the #1 choice almost unanimously. Yes, it's not a barrel-proof selection - those are sadly not available in NY thanks to draconian regulations - but it's still very good what it is, and at the offered price point, it's a no-brainer.

Nose: Citrus, butterscotch, cherry.
Palate: Apple, applesauce
Finish: Medium
