Copper & Cask 7-Year Rye Whiskey Batch 012

An assertive rye framed by fruit-driven finish. Copper & Cask’s Small Batch Series #012 is distilled from eight hand-selected barrels of 7-year, 95% rye whiskey. After aging, the majority of the blend was finished in tawny port barrels, with a smaller portion rested in new toasted oak, before being bottled at cask strength (120.2 proof). The result is a bold rye with port depth: dark berries, caramel, dried fruit, and an oak backbone that keeps it grounded. This is rye that rewards bold sipping—neat, or with a drop of water to coax nuance.

Nose: Plum jam, brown sugar, rich dried fruit depth.

Palate: Molasses, toasted marshmallow, cherry pie notes, chai spice.

Finish: Long, layered—baked apple, clove, orange zest, soft oak spice.

Pair it with dark cherry chocolate or port wine reduction desserts to enhance the port finish. Walnuts or pecan brittle echo nutty undertones. Smoked meats or charcuterie with dried figs or cherries make a terrific match too.
