ABOUT
ABOUT
Embark on a journey through nine centuries of mystique with Chartreuse Liqueur du 9e Centenaire. Crafted by the Carthusian monks at their Aiguenoire distillery in Isère, France, this 94-proof (47% ABV) herbal liqueur was first created in 1984 to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the Carthusian Order’s founding by Saint Bruno in 1084. A masterful blend of aged green and yellow Chartreuse liqueurs, it’s made from 130 herbs, plants, and flowers, following a secret recipe rooted in a 1605 manuscript. Aged in oak casks and non-chill filtered, it balances the vegetal intensity of Green Chartreuse with the mellow sweetness of Yellow Chartreuse. Presented in a 19th-century-inspired smoked glass bottle with a cork stopper and unique identification number, it’s a collector’s gem. Sip it chilled (12-13°C) as a digestif, over ice to unlock its complexity, or in a Last Word cocktail for a refined twist.
