BLACKENED® 72 Seasons Limited Edition is a unique blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskeys, finished in brandy casks and crafted to commemorate Metallica's twelfth studio album, "72 Seasons." This limited-edition release incorporates the band's music into its production process through a proprietary sonic-enhancement technique known as BLACK NOISE®

This expression is a collaboration between Metallica and Master Distiller & Blender Rob Dietrich. The whiskey finishes in brandy casks and is sonically enhanced using the BLACK NOISE® process. In this method, low-frequency sound waves from Metallica's "72 Seasons" album are played to the barrels, causing vibrations that enhance the interaction between the whiskey and the wood, imparting unique flavors.
