ABOUT

Now in its third generation, the Nicol family continues to pass down the art of traditional cider making. André Nicol founded the ciderie in 1928, in the Brittany section of France, primarily distributing barrels of his cider to local cafes and restaurants.

As consumers gradually came to prefer bottle conditioned and aged products, the ciderie responded by developing a "Cidre Bouché", which literally means "corked cider."

TASTING NOTES

The Cidre de Rhuys is an excellent example of that style. Made from 100% pure, non-pasteurized, juice, it features a deep amber color punctuated by fine bubbles, warm notes of apple and vanilla, and an ever-so-feint sulfur finish.
