ABOUT

House of Hafner's "Essencia" is made from Welschriesling grape (an ancient variety of white grape, unrelated to the Rhine Riesling) It's a 2002 vintage and is, again, an innovation. This is the FIRST KOSHER Essencia and again is one of the best noble sweet wines in the world.

TBA wines are produced of completely, botrytised and raisin-like berries with a natural sugar content of a minimum of 30 % (mostly 35 % and in TBA “Essencia”) and even up to 40 % in some wines.

Kosher for Passover, NOT MEVUSHAL

5 x Int. Goldmedal

BTI Chicago 2007: 91 POINTS

TASTING NOTES

An explosion in different layers of fruits in nose and on the palate. Exotic fruits mixed with caramel and honey combined with a very nice acidity strengh in the finish. Simply perfect with 50 years shelf-life!
BTI Chicago 2007: 91 POINTS "Bright orangey-copper hue. Brooding, slightly smoky orange peel nose. A rich entry leads a generous, medium-bodied palate with lots of sweetness. Lengthy brown spice accented finish. Drinking well now, but has the structure to develop with mid-term cellaring."
