2023 Domaine Marc Portaz Apremont Vin de Savoie

Regular price $16

ABOUT

A fresh alpine white with sheer clarity and mountain-air energy. Grown on the slopes of the Apremont cru in Savoie, this 2023 expression from Domaine Marc Portaz is made from 100% Jacquère vines planted on limestone and glacial-rubble soils. It’s light in alcohol, crisp in feeling, and full of bright green apple, citrus pith, crushed stone minerality and just enough herbal whisper to make you sit up and notice. Perfect for occasions where freshness and precision take the lead.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Honeysuckle, white-pepper, crushed stone and a hint of lime zest.

Palate: Lean and vital — green apple, pear skin, citrus-pith and a sculpted mineral seam from the alpine limestone soils.

Finish: Bone-dry, clean and persistent with a flash of mountain herb, white-flower note and a slate-like aftertaste that invites another sip.

FOOD PAIRING

This wine is built for food. Try it with classic alpine fare like fondue Savoyarde or raclette, grilled trout from mountain streams, fresh goat-cheese salads, or simply a crisp white bean and herb-dressed salad. Its acid profile and mineral backbone will slice through richness and highlight subtle flavours.
