Bulleit Bourbon 15 Year “Cannonball” Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey The Prime Barrel Pick #66

As many of you are aware, there's a widespread belief that aged Bulleit selections contain Four Roses distillate. While this theory is fascinating, we found it improbable when selecting this particular barrel. The character and flavor profile of this whiskey led us to believe otherwise. 

One of the most exciting discoveries was the age of this distillate - a staggering 15 years old. We confess, even we found it hard to believe at first. However, the rich, complex flavors and beautifully rounded profile made it an undeniable reality. 

To ensure that we weren't only captivated by the allure of its age, we put it to the ultimate test: a blind tasting. We're pleased to share that it prevailed with flying colors, demonstrating an exceptional character that stood head and shoulders above its competitors. 

The bourbon we've selected is not your standard Bulleit. It's richer, more complex, and has an intriguing depth of flavor that challenges preconceived notions. We're excited for you to taste it and discover its distinctiveness for yourselves.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: if we did not know better, we’d swear this thing was finished in a maple syrup cask. We opened the actual maple syrup next to it, and the resemblance was uncanny. In addition: Sherry, plum, figs, maraschino cherries, orange peel

Palate: Same maple syrup presence and orange peel, but also baking spices, cocoa nibs, and Earl Grey tea

Finish: Long, warming, and enticing to get another sip.
