Nikka Discovery Yoichi Aromatic Yeast Single Malt Whisky

Nikka has added two limited edition whiskies to its Discovery range for 2022, Yoichi Single Malt Aromatic Yeast and Miyagikyo Single Malt Aromatic Yeast. Last September, the Asahi-owned brand unveiled the first two expressions in the series, which focus on the diversity of ingredients available within the distillery.

The Nikka Discovery 2022 expressions highlight “unique” aromas generated during fermentation. Bottled at 48% ABV, Yoichi Single Malt Aromatic Yeast is partially made from a batch that has an estery aroma reminiscent of ginjyo sake, according to Nikka.
